This presentation will focus on the process of providing instruction for older learners to prepare them for successful post-secondary experiences related to supported and independent living arrangements. We will look at the assessment process, programming, instruction, and data systems to guide each individual learner. This presentation will demonstrate how this process will move into generalization and natural environment opportunities to make it applicable for older learners. It will include sample data forms as well as video samples to illustrate what this looks like in the classroom setting and how it can later transfer to independent living arrangements. The presentation will cover information on programming for older learners with various level language profiles from early to advance skill sets. We will share information on staff training as well as treatment fidelity throughout this programming development.
